Joining as a Consultant?

A consultant is possibly the one who is working on a Third-party payroll, on a Contract basis or been Outsourced by your organisation to the client location.

Dark side of working as a Consultant:
- Basically you work as load-balancer
- Management expect more effort and stretch in working hours
- There is possibility of facing discrimination between consultants and the core-team
- They may not even include you in team meetings (sometimes)
- May not be invited in company's events and not allowed using facilities like gym, playground etc.
- May end up with a feeling that you are not the part of the team
- Even your supervisor may say in your face that here consultants are not treated the way direct employee are
- Possibly, you will NOT be engaged in proper tasks(supporting your career growth, say, development tasks) as management prefer your engagement in support tasks that mostly includes solving bugs or issue tickets

Fair side of working as a Consultant:
- Your may find yourself being at the higher salary bracket compared to your peers, (i.e., your Parent Company may be paying you more for this job role)
